Where to get the best views of the course

You can watch the rowing races from both banks of the Vltava. Read on for our tips on where to watch.

1. Rašínovo Embankment

Right by the finish line, Rašínovo Embankment features a large screen with footage from the course, a pontoon for announcing the winners, a cafe and other refreshments including children's attractions and an accompanying program. Experience the full racing atmosphere, from the tension of the finish to the joy of the winners. (map)

2. Vyšehrad Railway Bridge

A unique spot where the University Eight crews will literally row under your feet. Watch from the south footbridge as your favourites navigate the start, or cheer on the crews from the north footbridge as they approach the finish line. (map)

3. Veslařský Island

This spot offers a great vantage point for watching the preparation of the boats and competitors. Witness tactical meetings, pre-race nerves and all the energy of the start. (map)

4. Císařská louka

Here, you'll get a close-up view of the start and can view almost the entire course from the northern tip of the island. (map)

5. Czech Yacht Club

Another good location for viewing the full course. (map)

6. Vyšehrad Fortress Walls

A unique, bird's-eye view of the entire course, combined with amazing views of the Vltava and Prague Castle. (map)

7. Palacký Bridge

A beautiful view of the finish. (map)

8. Horejší nábřeží Embankment on the Smíchov side

A good view of the finish. (map)
